Do you dabble in Canva but want to take your designs to the next level?

Click. Connect. Create. is a hands-on workshop for nonprofit and community group members who have used Canva before and are comfortable selecting a template, changing text and downloading a finished design.

During the workshop, you’ll move beyond basic templates and learn how to create clear, consistent and engaging materials for your organization.

Together, we’ll explore how to:

• Create an effective event poster
• Turn your poster into matching social media graphics
• Customize colours, photos and layouts with confidence
• Upload and edit your own photos
• Work with layers, alignment and positioning
• Apply basic design principles that make content easier to read
• Keep your organization’s materials looking consistent

The workshop will focus on features available in Canva’s free version. We’ll also share information about Canva for Nonprofits for eligible organizations.

Please bring your own laptop and arrive with a free Canva account already set up. A limited number of laptops will be available to borrow, courtesy of the library.

This is not an introductory computer class. Participants should have basic computer skills and some previous experience using Canva.
