Blur effects are useful in street photography and landscape photography to add interest to waterfalls, lakes and rivers and create movement.

Led by artist member Huw Morgan, this workshop will begin with a short artist talk, followed by a step-by-step demonstration of creating effects of blur and movement using Photoshop CC similar to the techniques used in Huw&#x27;s recent exhibition at Gallery 44, City in Motion. Blur effects are useful in street photography as well as landscape photography to add interest to waterfalls, lakes and rivers and create movement in images. The workshop will culminate in a lab style format working on various images and sharing through screen share. Participants are encouraged to work alongside the demo to attempt the technique on their own photos. In preparation for the workshop participants are encouraged to take a sequence of 12 photographs with a mixture of still and moving subjects (e.g. a building with people moving in front or a rock in a stream of water), these will support your final image while following along the demo. Participants should have Photoshop CC installed in advance of the workshop. (Please note: Photoshop CC recommended but please check in if using an older version to make sure the features of this workshop are available)Please note: G44 online workshops are currently being offered at a sliding scale with the suggested amounts:$25 - non members$20 - members$15 - non-members/Members with Covid-Reduced Income
