Caregiver Wellness Retreat

Caregiver Wellness Retreat

Overview

A day of renewal, learning, reflection, and connection for those supporting a family member or friend living with dementia.

Caregiver Wellness Retreat: A Day of Renewal, Learning, Reflection, and Connection

Supporting someone living with dementia is a unique journey for both the individual and family members and friends. As the disease progresses and capabilities change, some aspects of life can become increasingly difficult. This free Caregiver Wellness Retreat is designed to give caregivers a dedicated day to pause, recharge, and focus on their own well-being in a supportive environment.

Throughout the day, participants will be guided through gentle, restorative experiences such as self-reflection activities, journalling, mindfulness practices, light movement, and stress-management tools. There will also be opportunities to connect with other caregivers who understand the journey.

No experience or preparation is needed. Just come as you are.

Lunch and morning refreshments are provided. Morning break includes coffee, tea, juice, fruit, yogurt, and pastries. Lunch includes catered sandwiches/wraps, fruit and veggie trays, and cookies. Alternative options will be provided for those with dietary restrictions/allergies, where applicable.

This is a welcoming, judgement-free space to take time for yourself, build coping strategies, and connect with others who share similar experiences.
