Catch the Bug - Software Testing Workshop
Event Information
Description
The UBC Computer Science Department is happy to announce a new workshop for girls in grades 10-12. The workshop is delivered in partnership with PQA Testing, one of the leading software testing companies in Canada, and hosted by ACL, experts in data analytics and extraction products.
Join PQA's co-CEO and Chief Scientist, Christin Wiedemann, for a day of fun and challenging activities on 'catching the bug' and hear Christin and her colleagues talk about careers in the technology field.
People often forget that computer software, websites, and mobile applications require testing in order to make sure that they work the way they should. Without software testing, you would not be as happy with your favourite smart phone application or find it as easy to navigate through an important website.
