This presentation will give you a very local insight into what the City of Regina expects and enforces for these types of projects.</p><p></p><h3>Accessibility Design Options</h3><p><em>Sherry Hastings, Dipl. Arch. Tech., CCCA, CSP, Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification (TM) Professional, P3Architecture Partnership, Regina</em></p><p>Accessible design is beyond meeting minimum code requirements which often does not meet the actual needs of people with disabilities. The Rick Hansen Foundation has developed a universal rating scale with recommendations for accessing levels of meaningful access while complementing existing building codes and standards. Sherry Hastings is one of only a few RHFACPs in Saskatchewan, and will explore this range - from common issues with applying the minimum standard, to easily integrated ‘beyond the codes’ approaches.  </p><p></p><h3>Flexibility in Design: Building Code Alternative Solutions</h3><p><em>Andrea Nylen, P.Eng., and Delaine MacDougall, Code Consultant, Celerity Engineering Ltd, Regina</em></p><p>What is an Alternative Solution?
