CELPIP Prep CLB 5

The CELPIP Prep CLB 4 course focuses on improving English proficiency for daily life and work. It helps students enhance their speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills. The course covers practical topics such as making simple requests, giving basic information, and understanding short conversations. Students will learn to express ideas clearly and respond appropriately in familiar situations. This level is designed for individuals aiming to build confidence in basic communication to work and apply Citizenship.

Goals

• Develop foundational English skills in speaking, writing, reading, and listening for everyday communication.
• Gain confidence in expressing simple ideas and responding effectively in familiar situations.
• Learn to understand and use basic vocabulary and grammar in practical contexts.
• Improve the ability to comprehend short conversations, announcements, and written texts.
• Prepare students to successfully achieve CLB 4 level requirements for the CELPIP test.

This beginner class is offered in-person at the Women's Centre of Calgary.
