Note: Can't make a workshop date or prefer a private experience? Book any timeslot in March to create your cherry blossom Cloisonné piece at your own pace. Group workshop sessions are social, structurally guided, and include a complimentary drink for the full spring experience.

What to Expect

Once you've traced your cherry blossom design, the real magic begins. Using fi ne golden wire, you'll carefully shape and place each delicate outline — forming the small compartments that give Cloisonné its signature elegance. From there, you'll fi ll each section with your choice of vibrant coloured sand, then seal everything with a smooth resin fi nish that brings the whole piece to life with a beautiful, glossy sheen.

What is Cloisonné?

Cloisonné is an ancient decorative art form with origins in the Middle East, refi ned across Asian cultures over centuries. Intricate wirework is used to outline designs that are then fi lled with vibrant colour and sealed with resin — creating pieces that are as delicate as they are striking. It's one of the most distinctive and meditative art workshop experiences available in Metro Vancouver.
