Come join Metropolis at Metrotown and celebrate Lunar New Year by making your own lantern! 
 
At the LUNAR NEW YEAR AT METROPOLIS AT METROTOWN exhibit, you will have a chance to attend a lantern making workshop lead by members of The Secret Lantern Society and create your own Chinese pin-prick style lantern to take home.  
 
Workshops take place Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3, 2019 between 2:00PM and 5:00PM. Each workshop session is between 15-30 minutes. This is a free workshop. Reserve your spot today!
 
Walk-up spots will be available on a first-come first serve basis, while supplies last.
 
The Secret Lantern Society is an artist-run organization dedicated to connecting people to art, beauty, nature, community and their own creativity, and their multicultural celebrations transform spectators into participants! In December 2018 they celebrated their 25th Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival with over 6,000 artists, musicians, volunteers and public participants
