Alberta Dance Theatre provides an outstanding and unique program to dancers in grades 1-12 in Calgary through an intense 12-week program where dancers engage in a creative process alongside professional dance artists.  Annually, Alberta Dance Theatre premieres a brand new show with original music, professional lighting design, and is inspired by a children's novel. A rich tradition has been established that provides imaginative, engaging and affordable family entertainment to Calgarians.

No one knows the future but there&#x27;s one person who might be able to control it.Young Micah&#x27;s most favourite person in the world, their Grandparent, is getting sicker by the day, which means they have to go live with the dreaded Aunt Gertrudis. If Micah can find the mysterious magician at Circus Mirandus they can save their Grandparent with magic ... the only problem is Circus Mirandus has no set location, schedule, or ticket information.​Join Alberta Dance Theatre for an immersive live show that takes you through a magical midnight circus meant only for kids! Circus Mirandus is a story of love and trust that is sure to ignite your imaginations!Special Events: December 3 @ 7pm - Red Carpet GalaDecember 4 @ 1pm &amp; 4pm - Limited Seating for Audience Social Distancing​Youth from dance studios across the City of Calgary gather annually to create alongside professional choreographers for 10-12 weeks. The result is a completely original, family friendly dance and theatre performance. Meet the dancers when they walk down the Red Carpet and participate in our fundraisers following the performance on December 3 at 7:00pm! We&#x27;ll provide opportunities to mingle and have a great time with your ADT friends and family. For our youngest audience members we want to offer a chance to see &quot;Circus Mirandus&quot; with your family cohort in a safe, socially distanced atmosphere. We&#x27;ll only be selling half our theatre capacity for our matinee performances on December 4 at 1:00pm and 4:00pm. ​Alberta Dance Theatre creates in Moh’kinsstis located in the traditional Treaty 7 territory and traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. The City of Calgary is also home to the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. We are grateful for the priviledge to celebrate dance and expression together in this place we call home.​If the ticket price is a barrier to you attending this show please email alicia@albertadancetheatre.com to make other arrangements. We will be following all AHS recommendations and the policies put in place by the Pumphouse Theatres in order to host our event safely. Currently this includes wearing a Face Mask throughout the performance and for any audience member above 12 years old to bring:- Proof of COVID- 19 full vaccination (two doses)- Proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories not allowed). - Documentation of a medical exemption Patrons will also need to provide government issued ID that matches the document that they present for entry.
