The Bentway works to ignite the urban imagination, using the city as site, subject, and canvas. Anchored under Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway and guiding its complex future, The Bentway is a growing public space, and much more. It is a new type of civic organization: an independent charity and a not-for-profit, powered by vital partnerships with the City of Toronto, residents, supporters, artists, creatives, city-builders, and dreamers. The Bentway is a catalyst rooted in experimentation, demonstration, and regeneration; leading a creative movement to re-imagine the opportunities of urban spaces.Since Phase 1 of The Bentway – under the Gardiner from Strachan Ave to Fort York Blvd – opened in 2018, it has proven to be a vital public space, backyard park, cultural platform, connector for the western Waterfront corridor and a demonstration of what is possible. The Bentway

<P>The Bentway and <A HREF="https://www.buildforbokma.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Build for Bokma</A> are teaming up for <A HREF="http://thebentway.ca/cite" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CITE</A>, a summer-long celebration of skateboard arts and culture. Starting July 7, CITE will also offer a variety of free workshops including learn to skateboard clinics for youth, building skate sculptures, videography, screen printing, and designing skateboards.</P>
<P>Feeling creative? Looking to refresh your t-shirts? Join us on August 12 at The Bentway as the <A HREF="http://thebaitshop.ca/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Baitshop</A> will run two 2-hour workshops (10 AM - 12 PM & 3 - 5 PM) on screen printing t-shirts using a selection of original designs pre-submitted by artists to the Baitshop. Learn the basics of screen printing and design. T-shirts included free.</P>

<P>We're located under the Gardiner Expressway right beside the Fort York Visitor Centre (250 Fort York Blvd.) between Strachan Ave. and Bathurst St. </P>

<P>TTC: 511 Bathurst (at Fort York Boulevard), 509 Habourfront (at Fleet St.), or 121 Fort York-Esplanade at Gzowski Boulevard (westbound) or Bastion St (eastbound). </P>
<H3><STRONG>Where can I park? </STRONG></H3>
<P>There is a Green P parking lot at 800 Fleet St.</P>
