Claude Code Camp: From Zero to Your First AI Agent
Hands-on workshop for absolute beginners: learn how to build your first AI agent and add useful features like memory, simple goals, automate
Overview
Join ExamPro Training Inc. for a hands-on, instructor-led workshop designed for absolute beginners who want to understand AI coding tools and build their first working AI agent.
No previous experience building AI agents is required. You will be guided step by step through a starter project, learn how an AI agent works, and use Claude Code or another AI coding tool to add practical features such as memory, goals, orchestration, and scheduling.
The project is designed to make agent concepts easy to understand through a practical example. By the end of the workshop, you will have worked with a real agent codebase and gained a foundation for building more capable AI-powered applications.
You can follow along with Claude Code or the coding harness of your choice.
What You’ll Learn
The workshop will guide you through six beginner-friendly sections:
- What an AI agent is and how it works
- Getting started with the project and development environment
- Giving the agent memory so it can track important information
- Adding simple goals that guide the agent’s actions
- Understanding orchestration and how agent tasks are organized
- Adding scheduling and exploring next steps for your own projects
Expect a mix of instructor-led walkthroughs, live demonstrations, and guided exercises on your own laptop.

What Is Claude Code Camp?
Claude Code Camp is a practical learning experience focused on using Claude Code to work with real software projects.
In this beginner workshop, you will start with a prepared project and be guided through the core ideas behind AI agents. Instead of needing to build everything from scratch, you will learn by making clear, useful improvements to an existing starter agent.
What’s the Project?
The workshop project is a specialized AI agent designed to play an open-source Multi-User Dungeon, or MUD.
A MUD is a text-based interactive world where the environment changes as the player explores, interacts with objects, and completes tasks. This makes it a useful and engaging way to learn how an AI agent can observe information, make decisions, remember past events, and work toward goals.
You do not need any previous knowledge of MUDs or game development to participate.
