Clean-Tech Roundtable: Squamish Labour Force Development Plan
Help shape Squamish's Labour Force Development Plan. A roundtable for clean technology and environmental services employers and workers.
The District of Squamish is building a Labour Force Development Plan, a roadmap for jobs in clean technology and environmental services, and we want you at the table.
Join us for an in-person roundtable to help shape Squamish's future. We'll co-design real solutions for Squamish's clean-tech and environmental innovators, exploring collaboration across community partners, opportunities to work alongside Squamish Nation, barriers to these jobs including housing, childcare, and transportation, and how we'll track whether things actually change.
What to expect:
● See the industry insights we've gathered so far and tell us if it matches what you're seeing.
● Talk through hiring, training, and retention challenges.
● Help design real solutions in small groups: training, partnerships, employer supports.
● Connect with other clean technology and environmental services employers and workers in the room.
Everyone is welcome, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Need ASL interpretation, alternate-format materials, or help with childcare or transportation to attend in person? Just let us know when you register. Coffee and light refreshments will also be provided.
Spaces are limited to 25 participants — please register by November 11th to secure your spot.
