Join us to connect and collaborate with Ottawa’s cleantech community

Led by Marcia Mills, Partner, Co-Founder, and Co-Lead of Fasken’s National Security Group, this fireside chat features Gem Venturino, Founder of Pulshn. Marcia brings deep expertise in defence, national security, and government contracting, and will guide a timely conversation on the growing opportunities for cleantech companies to explore dual-use technologies for commercial and defence applications.

Gem will share her decade in defence as a strategic leader for defence innovation, procurement and cleantech investments into her experience in building Pulshn - a company pioneering next-generation aerodynamics systems, from thrust addition systems to electric and hydrogen VTOL UAS to clean air systems across our critical infrastructures. She will also discuss navigating pilots, partnerships, and highly regulated markets at the intersection of cleantech innovation and defence.

This session is designed to spark thoughtful discussion and foster meaningful connections across Ottawa’s cleantech ecosystem.

About the Moderator

Marcia Mills is a Partner, Co-Founder, and Co-Lead of Fasken’s National Security Group, and a member of the firm’s Government Relations and Political Law teams. With over 30 years of experience across the public and private sectors, including a decade at Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Marcia brings deep expertise in defence procurement, national security, and government contracts. She is widely recognized as a leading authority in procurement and government contracting and regularly represents clients before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal.
