Join us for the Hackathon pitches to hear business ideas from the Climate Hackathon teams as well as a keynote by Greg Hopf.

We&#x27;ve never needed as much creativity and innovation as we do now—nor as much cross-collaboration and conversation. Making progress on addressing climate change will require business leaders to join governments, policymakers, non-profits, and community members in contributing to a dramatic reduction in waste in the valley. Through-out the day, teams participating in the <a href="https://climatehackathon.eventbrite.ca" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Climate Hackathon</a> will work to develop business ideas and solutions that support creating a <a href="https://accelerateokanagan.com/blog/creating-a-zero-waste-valley-with-janice-larson/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">zero waste valley</a> by 2030. Join us as they present their ideas to a panel of judges who will have the difficult decision of picking a winner. We will also be joined by <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/greg-hopf-3890921a3/?originalSubdomain=ca" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Greg Hopf,</a> owner of Moccasin Trails, an award-winning educational tourism business that is deeply rooted in sharing Indigenous cultures. Greg will be discussing our connection with mother earth and how our relationship with nature is dictated by our values.
