The UBC Climate Hub is a student-led university-wide initiative that aims to connect and empower university and community stakeholders to take bold climate action for a just future.

Climate change is the biggest threat to human rights in the 21st century and will impact communities all over the world, particularly the most marginalized communities. As the effects of climate change are already being felt around the globe, including in our own backyard, it is increasingly apparent that urgent action must be taken. Despite the threat, it is critical to stay engaged  and center hopeful community building and action as powerful forms of resilience. 
The UBC Climate Hub is hosting the Climate Solutions Showcase to display the solutions-focused progress happening at UBC. Researchers, staff, and students working on climate solutions will have the opportunity to present research and projects to new audiences, brainstorm opportunities for knowledge mobilization, and forge connections with like-minded members of the campus community and external partners.
The day-long event on October 25th will involve interdisciplinary roundtables on varying themes, climate-focused workshops by UBC departments, Pecha Kucha style presentations on graduate student research, climate art in the Hatch Art Gallery, a boothing fair during the lunch hour with external and internal stakeholders, and an interactive room.
IMPORTANT: For those people who cannot attend the whole Showcase or were not able to get tickets, we highly encourage you to drop in to as many sessions as you would like! 
We acknowledge that this event is taking place on the traditional, ancestral, unceded and occupied Indigenous territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people.
