Code Zero to Superhero: An AI-Powered Python Series
Free | Thursdays, October 22, October 29 & November 5, 2026 | 12:30 – 1:30 PM | Dalhousie Campus
Want to use code in your research or build a project of your own, but not sure where to start? Join us for a free, three-session series that takes you from Code Zero to Superhero with Python, and shows you how AI can help you code faster and get unstuck.
Hosted by SURGE Science & Innovation Sandbox and Dr. Marta Kryven, this series builds step by step. It works whether you're opening a code editor for the first time, getting back into Python after a break, or ready to start coding with AI. Attend all three sessions, or join the ones that fit your level. Each session will integrate AI into the learning process to help you build new skills and get up to speed faster.
Sessions:
- Session 1: Getting Started with Python
Thursday, October 22, 2026, 12:30 – 1:30 PM
The basics, starting with opening and setting up your first coding environment.
- Session 2: Rebuilding Your Toolkit
Thursday, October 29, 2026, 12:30 – 1:30 PM
A Python refresher, including what to do when you get stuck and how to use AI in a way that actually helps you learn and start building.
- Session 3: Unlocking Superpowers with AI
Thursday, November 5, 2026, 12:30 – 1:30 PM
Coding alongside AI, for those who already know the basics.
