Program OverviewThis facilitated half-day virtual workshop will allow participants to engage with geriatric experts and participate in a small interactive group setting.Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:<ul><li>Identify when and why to use cognitive assessment tools</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to administer and score cognitive tests in a standardized and consistent manner</li><li>Understand and apply basic psychometric properties of cognitive testing</li></ul> Who should attend?Health care providers responsible for or interested in conducting cognitive assessments of older adults. It is ideal for anyone new to cognitive assessments or looking for a refresher on the topic. Tools and topics discussed include:When Should We Use These Tests and Why?Standardized Mini Mental State Exam (SMMSE)Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)Confusion Assessment Method (CAM)Trail Making Test BClock Drawing Test (CDT)Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) Refund Policy:Refunds may be requested up to 2 weeks in advance of the workshop. Eventbrite fees of $9.99 CAD will be applied to all refunds. Format:The exact length of each workshop may vary depending on the degree of engagement among the group. Workshops will be between 4-5 hours.
