COGS Career Chats
Unsure about what to do with your BA degree after graduation? Let's chat about it!
In collaboration with SFU Career and Volunteer Services, the Department of Psychology & Cognitive Science is hosting a hybrid event COGS Career Chats to answer your questions about post-graduation options and career pathways! (For example, what can I do with my degree? What can I do to set myself apart in the job market?)
This event is open to all undergraduate COGS students, recent alumni, as well as students in related disciplines ie. PSYC, PHIL, LING, and CMPT.
If you plan to attend in person, please see below:
Time: 1:30pm to 3:00pm
Date: Tuesday February 24th
Location: RCB 6152 (Robert C. Hall, past Images Theatre)
If you plan to attend online, please register and indicate whether you plan to attend online or in person. You will then be sent the Zoom link closer to the event date.
At this event, students will have a chance to:
-Learn career related tips, resources, and insights
-Hear from current COGS Honours student Zoe Stanley and COGS Alumnus Daniel Chang regarding their career pathways and advice for COGS students
-Connect with other like-minded undergraduate students
-Chat with our PSYC/COGS Advising Team (for PSYC/COGS pathways) as well as the LING Advisor (Rita Parmar) (for LING/Speech Pathology questions)
REGISTRATION: Space is limited! Please register with your SFU email and select whether you wish to attend in person or online.
Additionally, please note that this is an informal career event in a group setting; if you would like to meet with any of us 1:1, you can connect with Albert at ahfung@sfu.ca or schedule a meeting with PSYC/COGS advisors via Advisor Link
NOTE: Space is limited! If you register and are no longer able to make it, please email us at psyccomm@sfu.ca or cancel your ticket via Eventbrite to allow other students to register.
QUESTIONS: Questions are encouraged! Feel free to submit any career questions when registering, or ask them at the event and we'd be happy to address them.
