Comics & Graphic Novels Workshop
Overview
An award-winning cartoonist, Gareth Gaudin has published more than 200 comic books and graphic novels featuring his own work—notably The Perogy Cat and the popular Monster Sisters series. He has taught at both University of Victoria and Camosun College.
In this workshop he will be providing a brief history of the graphic novel and helpful guidelines on composition and design.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Gareth Gaudin is a visual artist, cartoonist, filmmaker, and comic book creator and historian from Victoria, BC. He has worked at a vintage comic book shop for 32 years, has, as of this writing, written, drawn, and published 298 books, and has taught comics since the 1990s.
CLASS LOCATION
This workshop is hosted by the Arts & Culture Colwood Society at the Goldfinch Arts Centre, a bright & modern gallery space that looks out to the Esquimalt Lagoon and the Colwood Waterfront beyond, where you will be surrounded by original artwork by local artists in our 17th annual BLOOM exhibition which runs from April 2nd throught May 3rd.
