Community-based Program Evaluation (Panel)
Program and project evaluation can be challenging for many organizations and can start to be a stale practice meant to satisfy a funding requirement versus an opportunity to learn and reimagine a project. This panel discussion will bring together non-profit administrators and community-based researchers to discuss the role of evaluation in project design and delivery. The audience will learn about different approaches to evaluation including collaboration on designing evaluation tools. The goal of the session is to strengthen the knowledge of participants on how to design evaluation into their funding application in such a way that evaluation can be a powerful tool to better understand how a project is operating, areas for improvement and overall impact. This session can help to improve funding applications through dedicated time to develop evaluation methods. This session might also assist in facilitating collaboration between those with evaluation background and those seeking assistance. This is part of a larger series meant to help support the important work that non-profit agencies do in delivering supports and services to community members.
