Got ideas for how to spread the word about consent? Want to see your designs become a ad campaign? Now’s your chance. Ryerson University’s Office of Sexual Violence Support and Education and Ryerson Students’ Union will be conducting a #ConsentComesFirst awareness campaign and they want YOU to design it! 
During the month of March, the OSVSE will host a competition where students can compete to develop fresh, creative campaign ideas centered on #ConsentComesFirst. The innovative campaign will engage your peers on ideas of respect, sexual health, bystander intervention, consent and the impacts of sexual violence.
At the end of the month, students will pitch their campaign ideas to a panel of expert judges at a #ConsentComesFirst Pitch Night. The winners will have a chance to turn their advertising idea into the Ryerson 2017 sexual violence prevention campaign.  
To kickoff the competition, OSVSE is holding a one-day #ConsentComesFirst Design Jam with expert speakers and a hands-on workshop to help get your creative juices flowing. The day will start with talks from experts in consent and sexual violence, as well as leaders from the advertising world, speaking about what makes a good ad campaign. Over lunch we’ll form teams and in the afternoon you’ll begin to get down to business working on your ideas.
After the Design Jam, you’ll have three weeks to refine your idea and develop your campaign - giving you lots of time to get it right before presenting it to a panel of judges at our Pitch Night in late March.
Things to consider:

Team member must be students to participate - undergraduate or graduate
</LI>
<LI>
Campaigns must include a variety of components, including print, web, social media and an on-campus activation
</LI>
<LI>
All pitches must come from teams, not individuals. 
</LI>
<LI>
Teams should include at least 50% Ryerson students
</LI>
<LI>
Students are strongly encouraged to form interdisciplinary teams (members from different faculties) and scoring on interdisciplinary team makeup will be included in the judging criteria
</LI>
<LI>
You must attend the Design Jam in order to be eligible to pitch a campaign at Pitch Night
</LI>
<LI>
Campaigns must adhere to the principles of <A HREF="http://www.ryerson.ca/policies/board/sexualviolencepolicy/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ryerson’s Sexual Violence Policy</A>
