Valentine (AKA Tartine) is a French cook who's passionate about cooking and baking. She teaches cooking classes, mostly French food and baking, in the Vancouver area and in your home! Trained in culinary skills from France, has worked for catering events in prestigious Champagne mansions and in Paris at various locations including Hotel Ambassador. Now a full time cooking instructor and personal & private chef. Tartine & Maple's mission is to demystify French food and other food myths, making them fun and accessible for all!

In this class we will show you how all the basics to make Brioche! This magic dough is more than a sweet bread! You'll learn how to make the dough and a few recipe to use it with, such as:

<DIV>You will be served a glass of wine during the class and a welcome snack. And you get to taste everything that is made during the class and take home leftovers, bring your containers!</DIV>
This is a hands on class!!!
Please note: This class is recommended if you own an electric mixer (Kitchen-Aid), as we will demonstrate how to do the dough with the help of one!

Please register 24 hrs prior to event, minimum participants required for event to be held. All deposit refunded in case of cancellation.
Strict 48 hrs refund policy. No refund or credit will be issue 48 hrs prior the start of the class (including last minute booking). Possibility to send someone in your place can be arranged.
Most events are demonstration style. Our kitchen is not equipped for every students to cook, but when possible, I will hand over some work!

The food demonstrated and served contains ingredients that are considered as allergen. If any concerns, please inquire prior to booking!
Class may be cancelled if not filled 24 hrs prior with minimum participants, and all deposit will be refunded.
One glass of wine, water and snacks will be served during the class. Additional glasses of wine and soft drinks available for purchase. Please bring cash or credit card. 
Everyone is welcome; however, min required age is 19.
Venue is conveniently located 5 min driving distance from downtown Vancouver, easily accessible by public transportation and free street parking is available.
