These open practices are provided for everyone interested in rope to have a safe space to practice and tie in. Students of our Introduction to suspension class will have free access after the class. --- Conduct:We are committed to the inclusion and recognition of all members regardless of race, age, culture, ability, ethnicity or nationality, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, marital status, religious affiliation, or socioeconomic status.Respect other attendee's identification, including names and pronouns.Obtain explicit consent for any and all play, and any physical contact. Do not interrupt scenes, nor offer advice or instruction unless specifically requested.Practices and scenes should be limited to rope play only.Noise level should be kept to a minimum, so that others can easily speak to and hear their tying partners.We expect tying pairs to communicate and respect each others limits and boundaries during their tie. The safeword “RED” will be interpreted as a signal that there is an urgent problem and a request for outside intervention. CORE educators may intervene, and take whatever steps they deem necessary to bring the bottom out of distress as quickly as possible.Attendees should bring their own safety equipment, rated straps, carabiners and other hardware if needed, and their own ropes. CORE does not provide rope or equipment.Tie at your level. CORE educators may stop scenes that appear unsafe, but do not rely on the educators to keep your scenes safe. Each tying pair is responsible for their own safety.Nudity is permitted at this event. Sex and consumption of alcohol are not.Photography is allowed. Make sure you have informed consent from anyone in the photos.CORE educators will not tie with students or event attendees, unless there is an existing friendship, relationship or agreement to tie which predates that person's first attendance at a CORE class or event (except when assisting or instructing).---*We encourage Ottawa community members who enjoy the space to think about supporting StudioMax with a membership. We appreciate the support from StudioMax and would not be able to hold this event without them.*
