When and where is the event?

The 2026 Prairie Fire Summit will take place on March 18, 2026, at FortWhyte Alive’s Buffalo Crossing building, located at  2505 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg, MB. 
The conference runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with registration opening at 9:00 a.m., followed by a 2-hour social - location TBA.

How do I get there?

Our conference room is located at FortWhyte’s Buffalo Crossing building, accessible at 2505 McGillivray Blvd. Located in southwest Winnipeg, and is accessible by car and public transit. Parking is available on site. Site entrances are available at 2505 McGillivray Blvd and  1961 McCreary Road.

Where should I stay?

We recommend staying at hotels in southern Winnipeg, for an approximate 10-15 minute drive to our venue. Yes - the Buffalo Crossing building has 82 parking spots available, with more at nearby FortWhyte Alive sites if needed.

Are meals included?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lunch and refreshments (coffee, tea, snacks) are included with registration. Meals and drinks purchased at the post-event social are not included. If you have dietary restrictions, please indicate them during registration.

Will there be networking opportunities?

Absolutely. The summit is designed to foster connection and collaboration. There will be dedicated time throughout the day - and during the post-event social - to meet and connect with other attendees.
