SCHEDULE

7:00 - Doors open

Grab a drink, settle in, and watch select renders from "Decompositions for Computers", an artistic exploration by transmedia artist and creative technologist Ali Phi, which utilizes complex data sets to expose the unseen consequences of our digital footprints.

7:30 - Decompositions for Computers (Ali Phi)

Ali Phi's practice spans digital installations, audiovisual performances, and generative art. Drawing on programming, data visualization, and interactive media, he explores the interplay between geometry, light, science, and cultural memory, reimagining ancient motifs and Middle Eastern rituals through a futuristic lens. In this talk, Ali discusses his research-driven approach, and shares recent works presented at international contemporary art venues.

8:00 - Photosynthetic Cyborgs (Vladimir Kanic)

What if algae could speak? Vladimir Kanic presents living sculptures that capture carbon and explores how AI is being used to translate the biochemical signals of algae into a new interspecies language.

8:30 - Antique Intelligence: Interactive Fiction in Tangible Spaces (Kyle Duffield)

Kyle Duffield is an interactive experience designer who creates playful, socially driven immersive installations. In this talk, he explores how embedding AI agents in reanimated vintage technologies can innovate interactive storytelling, while confronting pressing humanitarian crises — such as the distraction economy, and the imminent invasion of interdimensional shapeshifters.
