SCHEDULE

7:00 - Doors open

Grab a drink, settle in, and watch an incredible VR painting created in real-time by Toronto-based artist Armela Mema. She will be accompanied by a violin and cello duo.

7:30 - Onstage Gaming and the Future of Storytelling (Laurel Green @ STUDIO FUNFUG)

Laurel went from never playing video games to making games for the stage that are played live by hundreds of audience members in theatres worldwide. She'll unpack how interactive technology turns storytelling into a collective experience, and draw on lessons learned from touring internationally to explore what a game controller can teach us about power, play, and building community.

8:00 - Cultural World-Building and Public Experiences (Will Selviz @ RENDRD Media)

Will is an immersive media director and experiential designer. Focused on neuroscience and brain-computer interfaces, he builds inclusive experiences grounded in both design and engineering.

8:30 - A Brief History of Image Generators (Shah @ Bloom Immersive)

Oil paintings, art history, and the aesthetics that catch our eyes. This talk will focus on advancements made in image models over the last several years, and select research that helped along the way. No technical background necessary to follow along!
