Creative Collaboration Session

Connect • Create • Grow

Come spend an afternoon in community exploring ideas, making connections, and discovering what we can create together.

🎶 Music 💃 Movement 📝 Spoken word 🎨 Visual art 📖 Storytelling 🎭 Performance ✨ And whatever else inspires you

Creative Collaboration Sessions are gatherings dedicated to bringing people together to explore, experiment, and create with one another.

Whether you have a project you'd like to develop, an idea you're curious about exploring, or simply a desire to connect with other creative people, these sessions offer time and space to see what emerges when we create together.

No particular level of experience is required. Come with collaborators, bring an idea, or simply show up and discover what's possible.

How it works

The Magic Mansion offers multiple rooms where different creative activities and collaborations can unfold simultaneously.

Open Collaboration Spaces

At least one room will be dedicated to open collaboration, where anyone can meet others, explore shared interests, experiment with new ideas, and see what emerges.

We'll begin with brief, optional introductions to help people discover potential connections.

From there, the experience is yours to shape. You might join an emerging collaboration, invite others into an idea of your own, or simply spend time creating alongside other people.

Additional rooms may be made available for open collaboration depending on space and interest.

Reserved Collaboration Spaces

Already have people you'd like to create with?

Groups can request a dedicated room to develop projects, rehearse, experiment, or enjoy focused creative time together.

Whether you're working toward something specific or simply want to explore what happens when your creative practices come together, the space is yours to shape.

Room requests must be submitted in advance and are subject to availability. One person can request a room on behalf of a group, but everyone attending should register individually for the event.

Explore whatever inspires you

There's no set program to follow, no expectation to produce something finished, and no pressure to collaborate in any particular way.

You might find yourself making music with someone new, combining poetry with movement, developing a performance, experimenting with visual art, or discovering an entirely unexpected creative direction.

Collaboration happens through mutual invitation.

You're free to follow your curiosity, try something unfamiliar, step away when you need to, and let the creative process unfold naturally.

Bring any instruments, art supplies, works in progress, notebooks, or other materials you'd like to explore. If your plans require additional space, power, amplification, or specialized equipment, please reach out beforehand.

If you're bringing paints, inks, or other materials that could create a mess, please bring appropriate protective coverings and cleanup supplies. Everyone is responsible for protecting the space and leaving it as we found it.

Community-supported • Pay what you can

Creative Collaboration Sessions are community-supported and offered on a pay-what-you-can basis so that finances never need to be a barrier to participating.

There is no required contribution.

When registering, simply choose the option that feels right for you: free admission, a $10 or $25 contribution, or an amount of your choice. Every option includes admission and offers the same experience.

Contributions help support these gatherings and grow the spaces, equipment, and resources available for future creative exploration and collaboration.

Your presence, creativity, support, and energy are meaningful contributions too ❤️

Please note: Eventbrite displays the custom-amount option under “Donations,” but it also includes admission. You only need to select one registration option per person.

Our Creative Expression Circle Discord is a place to share ideas, find collaborators, discover creative opportunities, and stay connected between gatherings.
