Creative Facilitation: Tools, Tips and Models SOLD OUT

Tools for Change is a project of our community partners, including OPIRG Toronto, OPIRG York, The Community Action Centre of the Student Association at George Brown College, OCAD Student Union, Greenpeace Canada and No One Is Illegal (NOII). We help you develop skills to champion social, economic, and environmental justice. We host approximately 20 skillbuilding workshops a year. Workshops are offered on a sliding scale with scholarships available. Staff and active volunteers of our community partners can attend for free or by donation. Tools for Change

Having many brains, hearts and minds in a room together is an opportunity for building community and creating dynamic spaces for generative solution-making. We'll go over tips on what makes events run smoothly. We'll also explore different ways to design workshops, meetings and trainings that engage and draw out the collective wisdom in the room. Together we'll explore different models of working with groups large and small, including Open Space Technology, Collective Story Harvesting, World Cafe and more. 
Date: Saturday January 28th Time: 1PM-4PM Location: OISE, University of Toronto (Room #3310) Accessibility: This is a barrier free space. Subway tokens available to attendees by request. Trainer's Bio: Christopher Lawley began his career as an inner-city elementary school teacher with a passion for equity and social justice.
