About the Event

Crowning Our Daughters is a special Father’s Day experience created to pour into men while building confidence, connection, and practical skills. While we are celebrating the beautiful relationship between fathers and daughters and highlighting that unique bond, this event is not exclusively for girl dads.

Whether you have daughters, sons, children, no children yet, are an uncle, mentor, future father, or simply a man looking for community and connection, you are welcome here. If you’re a man, there is a seat for you at this table.

This is a child-free event, meaning attendees are encouraged to come on their own, unplug, engage, and truly enjoy the experience without worrying about managing little ones during the session.

Participants will practice on mannequin heads rather than their own children, creating a relaxed and judgment-free environment where men can learn beginner hair care, parting, braiding, and cornrow techniques at their own pace. Whether you're completely new to doing hair or just want to sharpen your skills, this space is designed to make learning approachable, practical, and fun.

We’re excited to have Veneese, founder of Niya’s Coily World, joining us for a special segment focused on textured hair education and the role hair care can play in confidence and connection.

We’ll also hear from Troy Crossfield, who will lead a meaningful conversation around fatherhood and the unique journey of raising daughters, creating space for honest discussion, encouragement, and reflection.
