Say No to Spreadsheets and Paper!

About this Event

Attend this session for a glimpse at what technology can do to improve your work processes using no-code / low-code platforms.

Back in 2017 Forbes magazine wrote about the disruptive power of no-code / low-code platforms and in the two years that followed these platforms have continued to evolve at an unprecedented pace.

Join Chris Andersson from KLAR Solutions as he puts one of these platforms through its paces in a live demo. Starting with an all too common scenario of multiple spreadsheets, he will move the data into a robust, relational database, improve the user interface, publish it to the web, and make the data available as a mobile app. All in less than an hour.

You will leave this session with a new appreciation for what can be done to get out of the rut using easy-to-use no-code / low-code platforms.

WORKSHOP PRESENTER:

Chris was raised in northern Sweden and has always had a keen interest in computers and technology. Chris’s father ran a plastics manufacturing business located adjacent to the family home and as a result Chris spent much of his childhood helping troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and extruders.

After relocating to Canada in 1988 Chris has been involved in many professions from working as a Tool & Die maker to responding to emergencies as an advanced care paramedic in Toronto, as well as working in paramedic education and certification.

Throughout his career, technology has always played a large role and Chris have continuously looked for ways to leverage technology to help improve processes. Chris’s hunger for innovation eventually lead him to launch KLAR Solutions in 2013. Since then Chris has worked with businesses and community colleges to help build innovative custom solutions to improve efficiencies.

Chris holds a Master of Arts in learning and technology from Royal Roads University and was the recipient of the Natasha Shkvorets Innovation Award in 2016. Chris has spoken at the Annual FileMaker Conference as well as the Southern Ontario FileMaker Association meetings.
