CycleHack Vancouver

<H2>CycleHack is a global movement that is tooling up citizens to take a proactive DIY approach to reducing the barriers to cycling.</H2>
<H3>Hear from an exciting range of speakers, prototype ideas, and design new ways to improve the experience of cycling for all types of road users here in Vancouver and around the world -- all within 48 hours!</H3>
Vancouver is one of 30+ cities around the world hosting a CycleHack event on June 24th - 26th. This year CycleHack Vancouver is partnering with the HiVE, a community hub with a mission to support and amplify the social impact sector, and supported by the Maker Foundation.
Whether you cycle, drive or walk; make, design, code or just have great ideas this event is for you! We want to bring together and give a voice to all those who use our roads, to prototype new ideas that reduce the barriers to cycling.
CycleHack Vancouver will kick off with an awesome range of speakers on Friday evening and end with a Sunday Showcase of all the ideas brought to life by attendees -- like you! All the ideas created can then be shared on the <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.cyclehack.com/catalogue/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CycleHack Open Source Catalogue</A> for the world to see, share and use in their own cities.

This is a not-for-profit event, where all the procedes will go towards materials to make hacks possible and refreshments for the weekend.
<H3>There are two types of tickets available:</H3>
Weekend Tickets: $20
Come and CycleHack with us all weekend and make cycling more accessible, safe and fun for all! Whether you cycle, drive or walk; make, design, code or just have great ideas - this event is for you! We want to bring together and give a voice to all those who use or roads, to prototype new ideas that reduce the barriers to cycling.
This event runs from 6:30pm - 9:30pm on Friday June 24th, 9am - 9pm on Saturday June 25th & 9am - 6pm on Sunday June 26th. To get the most out of the event, we ask for weekend participants to try and be there during these times. Show & Tell Tickets: $15
Can’t make the whole weekend? Sign up for our Friday Night Show & Tell and our Sunday Afternoon Showcase to be inspired by a wide range of people and ideas that focus on reducing barriers to cycling! Hear from a range of speakers on Friday June 24th, 6:30 - 9:30pm, and then join us again on Sunday June 26th, 4:00 - 6:00pm to see what hacks have been created over the weekend!

FAQ:
I can’t make the whole weekend. Can I still come?
Ideally, if you sign up for a Weekend Ticket, you’ll be able to make the whole event and to support the building of hacks throughout - but you are under no obligation to stay the whole time. If you can't make the whole weekend but still want to see the magic happening, sign up for a Show & Tell Ticket!
I’m not a cyclist. Can I come? 
Of course, everyone is welcome! If you consider yourself a non-cyclist, then this is the perfect opportunity to hack the barriers which stop you from getting on the saddle. We want to make the world bike-friendly for everyone.
What is a CycleHack?
A CycleHack can be a tangible prototype of an idea which addresses a barrier to cycling. It can also mean to retrospectively modify current infrastructure, policy and / or cycling products & services using a cyclist’s intuition.
Accessibility Info: 
HiVE is located on the second floor of the building, up one flight of stairs with sturdy handrails. We regret to say that at this time there is no elevator access to the space. There are both gender-neutral and gendered washrooms available. We would like to acknowledge that this event is being held on unceded Musqueam, Skwxwú7mesh, and Tsleil-Waututh Territories.
