Join the Greater Victoria Police Diversity Advisory Committee for a free, family friendly, event celebrating art, culture, and diversity. Come along with as we celebrate five cultural dances from Victoria and around the world. Gather in Saanich Commonwealth Place - Garry Oak Room from 12:30-2:30.Our featured groups will take you on a journey, demonstrating and teaching their dances, sharing a part of their heritage, and inviting you to participate. Dance and learn or just watch and enjoy. Featuring: <ul><li>The Lekwungen Traditional Dancers</li><li>Sabur of Damba Dance Group</li><li>Banghra with the Apna Virsa Victoria Cultural Association</li><li>Country Scottish Dancers</li></ul>Dance well, Dance badly...just dance.L﻿ight snacks and water will be provided, thank you, in part, to Dodd&#x27;s Furniture and Mattress.T﻿his event is free for anyone to attend but space is limited. Pre-registration through Eventbrite is required. Get your tickets now!T﻿he GVPDAC wants to acknowledge, with gratitude, that this joyous event will be taking place in Saanich on the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.T﻿he GVPDAC is funded by the Greater Victoria Police Departments including Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay, West Shore RCMP, Sooke RCMP, Central Saanich, and Sidney/North Saanich RCMP.
