Dance Spells: Creative Movement Performance
Join us for a showing of the creative movement series “Dance Spells”. You may participate or just be an audience member!

Dance Spells is a creative movement and performance series created by Contemporary choreographer and Somatic practicioner, Vanessa Woulfe. The group meets weekly to play with various dance scores (ways of creating choreography). We focus on creative expression, non-judgement, and emphasize process over perfection. We create small performances and show each other (when we feel are in the mood). Our performances are not well-polished. They are put together quickly, as a way to exercise following the first impulse and leaving behind an overly critical mind. Now we are ready to share what we do with a bigger audience!
As an audience member, you choose your comfort level of participation! You are welcome to watch the entire session from afar; You may choose to fully participate in the improv-based activities; or you may be somewhere in between (ex. join the free dancing, but don't complete the follow up exercises).
Audience members invest the "drop-in" fee of $20 (no one turned away for lack of funds).
