What is DARK?
DARK is Fort Edmonton Park’s Halloween Scare event. It consists of a general admission area with food and beverages as well as three separate haunts.
 
Where is the event held?
The event is being held in the Edmonton river valley on the DARK streets of Fort Edmonton Park located at 7000 143 Street.
 
How much are tickets?
Tickets are $30. That includes general admission and three distinct haunts.  
 
Are there any group discounts?
No.
 
Is this event suitable for children?
While the event is intended for people 14 years and older, entrance is at parent or guardian’s discretion. There is no discounted rate for children.
 
Is there a family-friendly version?
This year there is not an event suitable for young children, however, we may look at that for future years.
 
I heard about Dead Centre of Town. Is this part of DARK?
Dead Centre of Town is Edmonton's only live action horror show inspired by true history. Intended for an 18+ audience, this separately-ticketed events runs October 18th-31st in the Blatchford Field Air Hangar. How can I purchase my DARK ticket?

What if I don’t want to go to the haunts, can I still be admitted?
Yes, you can purchase a ticket to the DARK circle for only $10. 
 
What’s your refund policy?
This is a non-refundable event.
 
Can I purchase my ticket at the door?
Depending on availability, there may be tickets at the door but the easiest way to purchase your ticket is <A HREF="https://www.fortedmontonpark.ca/dark/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">online</A>.
 
What time do I have to be there?
The event runs from 7 pm to 11 pm.. Entrance to each of the haunts will be first come first served. You will need at least 2 hours to access your haunts so please arrive by 9 pm at the latest. 
 
What if it rains, snows or is really cold?
The event continues rain or shine. Parts of the event will be indoors and there will be spaces available to warm up, however, please dress for the weather. Please also wear footwear approviate for walking on uneven surfaces.
 
Is parking available?
Free parking is available but limited. It is recommended you carpool or use other modes of transportation.
 
Can I wear a costume?
Yes, costumes are welcome, however, please don’t bring any weapon props.
 
Will there be food and beverages available?
Yes, there will be food and beverage items available in multiple locations. This is a licensed event, so please bring your ID if you wish to purchase alcoholic beverages.
 
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
Due to the historic nature of the facility, there are a number of buildings that would be challenging for persons with limited mobility and impassable for wheelchairs. A short walk will be required to get to the event.
 
Is admission included with my Fort Edmonton Park membership?
This is a separately ticketed event and is not included with your membership.
