This legal information session will be presented by Krista Dobson, Carizon Family and Community Services&#x27; Credit Counsellor and Kristen Thompson, Staff Lawyer at Waterloo Region Community Legal Services. This session will introduce service providers to consumer protection as it relates to credit, loans, social assistance, and debt collection. Learn more about payday loan rules; collection agency rules; garnishment of income support; suing for debt and limitation period; consumer protection referrals; &amp; bankruptcy, consumer proposals, and financial wellness/credit counselling.
