  • This is a 4-week, in-person beginner sewing class designed for people who are serious about learning how to sew and making their own clothes.
  • Classes would be 3 hours a week with in studio/take-home practice projects to enhance your skills.
  • Enrolment is limited to 5 students to ensure hands-on guidance, structure, and real progress.
  • This is not a drop-in or hobby class. Commitment is required.

Tentative class dates: Feb 28th, March 7th, March 14th and March 28th, all on Saturdays. From 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

All materials will be provided, so come as you are, REALLY!

The goal of this class is to remove fear, confusion, and negative blocks around sewing — and replace them with clarity, confidence, and real skills.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to use an industrial straight-stitch sewing machine and industrial serger
  • Proper body measurements
  • Fabric cutting and preparation
  • Beginner pattern making and pattern understanding
  • Construction of a wearable garment
  • Professional hemming techniques
  • Foundational finishing techniques

By the end of this class, you will no longer be intimidated by a sewing machine and will confidently complete a piece of clothing.

The Bigger Goal

Sewing takes time and practice — but it shouldn’t feel overwhelming or inaccessible.

This class is designed to clear the negative blocks that stop people from beginning their journey into sewing or fashion design, and to replace confusion with confidence.
