Women Entrepreneurs-in-STEM Program

This program is designed to help women entrepreneurs learn how technology can help them grow and expand their business.

Demystifying Tech is designed to increase learners understanding of STEM basics and frameworks. This program is designed to help women entrepreneurs overcome some of the barriers and obstacles related to entrepreneurial technology and innovation. Participants will have a collaborative and interactive experience with follow-up coaching and self-directed activities.Participants will leave the program with:<ul><li>Improved comprehension of technology &amp; the impact technology has for entrepreneurs</li><li>An introduction to framework and uses</li><li>An understanding of utilization of analytics to change outcomes</li><li>Best practices for incorporating new technologies</li><li>An intro to STEM through techniques and strategies for using innovation to grow their business</li><li> Increased comfort with technology &amp; various utilization strategies</li><li>Gain confidence in different ways to use technology to grow their business</li></ul>Meet Your Presenter: Wendy MuiseWendy Muise has always been an entrepreneur and loves the ability to spend time helping others with their businesses. With a background in tech and innovation start-ups, Wendy has been apart of a team that took a product from an idea to IPO and a $121 million market valuation.Spending the last ten years focusing on strategic practices in entrepreneurship, Wendy has worked in communities during disaster recovery supporting existing and new entrepreneurs to grow their businesses. WESTEM programming is mandated to support rural/remote Southern Alberta women; does not include Calgary.
