Featuring Dr. Chris Kim, Carla Rojas, Michael Le, and Aleksandra Kmieciak, this discussion revolves around how AI is starting to play a significant role in the art world, transforming how we create, curate, perceive, and buy art.The panelists delve into the ways AI is used as a creative companion — generating unique artworks and challenging traditional norms — and ponder questions of ethics, considering the impact on artistic expression, ownership, and the evolving role of human artists in this technologically-infused era. <h3>About the Speakers</h3>Dr. Chris KimChris K. Kim, PhD is the co-founder of Partial and a user-focused software developer in pursuit of using technology to facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations and address today's talent gap in digital media. Trained in media production and information visualization, Chris works with institutional stakeholders, including University of Toronto, DARPA, and MIT, to build platforms that democratize AI and promote human-in-the-loop automation. Chris also operates a software studio GoodCodeClub, where he works with emerging talents in promoting underserved communities and facilitating youth entrepreneurship. Carla Rojas Carla Rojas is a multi-faceted marketing professional specialized in project coordination, social media management, content strategy and public relations for Art &amp; Entertainment. She has worked in multiple capacities for various films, festivals and T.V. shows in Mexico and Canada, including Canada's Walk of Fame, the Banff World Media Festival and the Canadian National Exhibition, alongside industry leaders and top talent from companies such as Netflix, NBC Universal, Bell Media, YouTube, Canada Media Fund, National Film Board of Canada and CBC. Prior to moving to Canada, Carla has also served as Creative Director and Head of Marketing for live concerts of world-renown artists such as Yann Tiersen, Nouvelle Vague and Yelle, working closely with talent managers and booking agents in Europe and the U.S., securing partnerships with local media, influencers and brands such as Sony Music, Ticketmaster and the W Hotels, resulting in multiple sold out shows. In 2019 Carla launched Artifier.net, Toronto's Art Blog &amp; Directory for the visual arts, securing ongoing partnerships and collaborations with multiple galleries, museums and organizations in the city. In 2020 Artifier partnered up with Partial to produce "Remote Art Talks", a short video podcast series featuring emerging artists across Canada. The series received over 20,000 impressions and was included in CBC Arts' roundup of the best Art Series in Canada. Aleksandra Kmieciak Aleks is a UI/UX designer based out of Toronto with experience in the e-commerce sector and three years of involvement in healthcare research initiatives. She graduated from George Brown College's digital experience design program last year, and has previous education in graphic design and web development. Michael Lé With over a decade of experience in the creative industry, Michael Lé has demonstrated adept guidance and unwavering support for a diverse array of artists and creatives, providing innovative solutions that breathe life into their projects. Currently serving as the founder of Rhozeland Design Studio, Lé leads a team comprising accomplished music engineers, producers, visual creators, and media specialists. Together, they have successfully orchestrated campaigns and product releases for clients spanning various industries. Lé's distinctive talent lies in his innate ability to conceptualize boundless possibilities and craft innovative solutions that transcend the conventional boundaries of creativity. This proficiency extends beyond his role at Rhozeland Design Studio to his personal artistic endeavors through Indoléstic, where he actively contributes to the creative community through compelling digital creations.
