Destination Wasaga Public Workshop #2
Share your ideas and help define the vision for Destination Wasaga — residents are invited to take part in an interactive planning workshop.
DESTINATION WASAGA BEGINS
To lead the planning process, the Town has engaged Urban Strategies, an award-winning Ontario-based urban design and planning firm with experience in waterfront revitalization projects across Canada. Urban Strategies will work closely with the municipality, residents, business owners, Indigenous partners, and other stakeholders to co-create a vision that reflects Wasaga Beach’s unique identity and aspirations to become a globally recognized recreation and nature-based destination.
The second phase of engagement kicks off April 7 – April 9 at the Town’s RecPlex. It includes a series of public workshops, focus groups, online surveys, and open houses, as well as one-on-one interviews with stakeholders. Residents are invited to meet the Urban Strategies team, learn more about the project, and share their ideas for improving the waterfront, enhancing public spaces, celebrating local culture, and strengthening the town’s tourism economy.
To help ensure more residents can participate, a virtual workshop will be offered on the evening of April 9. This online session will provide an accessible option for those who may be unable to attend in person, giving even more residents the opportunity to share their ideas and feedback.
