Developing Community League Sustainability 

Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues

The City of Edmonton and partners are working on a toolkit that captures lessons learned creating home energy efficiency programs. They are testing how well these tools work for nonprofits and other jurisdictions.
As part of the Sustainable Innovation and Design Workshop Series, the EFCL is hosting two hands-on workshops for community members that are interested in learning some foundational innovation and design tools that can be used in our everyday mission to encourage sustainability in our communities.
The workshop will introduce the toolkit and specific tools to help identify the behaviours to focus on and the key ingredients for people to change those behaviours. Participants will get a chance to try out the tools in reference to their own work, and then provide feedback. The first workshop will focus on Community Leagues that are looking to develop their own sustainability initiatives.
Community leagues will have the chance to get hands-on experience with experts in human-centred design and innovation, and contribute to a resource that will be used across Canada.
Workshop 1 is hosted at Belgravia Community League, in the upper hall on Thursday, March 14th from 6-8pm.
