The CES Alberta & Northwest Territories Chapter is a leader for evaluation in Alberta and the Northwest Territories, and a major contributor in the national evaluation community. We are a volunteer-run non-profit association dedicated to the advancement of evaluation theory and practice.

This workshop will cover the following topics:<ul><li>Purpose of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)</li><li>Types of indicators and KPIs</li><li>Benefits of Using KPIs vs other types of indicators</li><li>How to relate KPIs to Logic Models and Theory of Change</li><li>Development of Key Performance Indicators</li></ul>After completing the workshop, participants will be able to:<ul><li>Identify when and why KPIs would be beneficial</li><li>Distinguish between KPIs and other types of project-related indicators</li><li>Understand how to create KPIs that are SMART</li><li>Link KPIs to a Theory of Change</li></ul>*******************************************************************************Format: Online workshopLength: 2.5 hoursLevel: IntermediatePrerequisite: that participants have a firm understanding of how to create Logic Models and Theory of ChangeCost: $50 for CES members, $60 for non-membersNote - A minimum of 10 participants is required for this course to proceed.*******************************************************************************Instructor:Allison Larsen is an evaluation, research and change management professional with over 17 years experience in evidence-based research, system-level evaluation design, monitoring and performance measurement, strategic planning, organizational improvement and organizational change management. Specializations include the design and implementation of outcomes, key performance indicators, strategic plans, organizational change plans and quality improvement initiatives. She is a Credentialed Evaluator and PROSCI Change Management professional, and holds a Project Management certification and a Master’s in Sociology from Queen’s University. Allison has been in private consulting since 2009, with a focus on projects related to evidence-based practice, evaluation design, qualitative research methods, quantitative monitoring systems, strategic planning, change management, organizational development and quality improvement. She has experience working with teams, departments, and individuals at all levels of an organization to create, promote, and deliver training solutions designed to support the organization’s values and objectives. Allison has designed and delivered effective workshops on team building, change management, performance measurement, and logic model and outcome development. Allison has experience in the healthcare sector, working with clinics and Primary Care Networks to design and implement clinical care pathways, system-level indicators, quality improvement initiatives and change management plans. In addition, she has worked with private corporations, non-profit associations, social service agencies and governmental bodies in a variety of roles related to project management, research and evaluation, team management, and organizational change.
