Event description
We know Strathcona is a truly unique place. And we’re turning to you to help us define, preserve and amplify that uniqueness.

About this Event

It’s time for us to take a step back and examine who we are, where we’ve been, and where we want to go. We are seeking to understand how we see ourselves, how others see us, and what we need to do to create a refreshed Strathcona business community brand that resonates with all members of our community.

The input of the community in this process is invaluable to us.

Join us on Monday, November 4th at The Pace for an evening of engaging community dialogue and to provide us with your honest feedback and perspectives.

What can you expect?

Doors will open at 5:00pm and light dinner will be provided before the workshop begins at 5:30pm.

Participants will include Strathcona BIA (SBIA) members, community partners, residents and the general public, volunteers, staff and SBIA Board Directors. As we can only accommodate a limited number of participants, your commitment to attending is very important to us.

This is not a traditional research workshop.

We have partnered with Stormy Lake Consulting who will be leading us through the evening. You will be working in small groups and discussing provocative questions that explore the Strathcona business community brand from many angles and explore the different paths to move forward.

This is an important project for the Strathcona business community and beyond as we re-affirm our role, voice, and place in the greater city of Vancouver.

The Strathcona BIA recognizes that it, along with its over 850 business members, operate on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Their economies have existed on this land for thousands of years and we offer our respects to the indigenous elders, youth and entrepreneurs alike, both past and present, who call this land home.
