Different Minds, Shared Space
A peer support community by and for neurodivergent adults
Join us for a bi-weekly, in-person group at Healthy Minds Cooperative for people who identify as neurodivergent or neurodiverse, or who feel their ways of thinking, feeling, or experiencing the world is often misunderstood or not fully accommodated in society.
Our group is a community space to connect, share, and have open, conversations about our lived experiences. It’s for anyone who has felt “othered” or impacted by expectations around how people are supposed to think, behave, or process the world. You’re welcome whether you want to talk, listen, or simply be in the presence of others who relate.
This is not a therapy or diagnostic group, and no formal diagnosis is required.
*Please note: We use the term “neurodivergent” intentionally and as a community-informed term. It is not meant to pathologize people or define anyone by deficits. Rather, it recognizes that there is no single “normal” way to think, communicate, learn, or exist.
An anti-ableist lens recognizes that many barriers faced by neurodivergent people are created by systems, environments, and social expectations that privilege certain ways of being. These standards can limit access, opportunity, participation, and belonging. “Neurodivergent” can also provide shared language for people with or without formal diagnoses, including those with multiple or acquired differences.
This group is an opportunity to explore these experiences together, challenge isolation and stigma, and build connection with people who understand. Our differences are not deficits, and peer connection is powerful.
