Welcome to Digidamara - the intergalactic dance marathon at the end of the universe!!
About this event
An interactive experience presented by BAGEL+BALLOON...
Everyone knows the universe ends and is reborn. The last galactic societies are sending their finest dancers to represent them on SPACE STATION DANCE HALL to compete in DIGIDAMARA - the greatest gathering which will decide who will birth the next universe!
You, the spectators cheering from home, must supply your favourite dancing team with energy on a daily basis, to keep your horse in the race and have your favourites be the last ones standing. The dancers come from a plethora of galaxies, all with a unique way of being that they desperately want to carry forward into the new universe. Who wins will determine how we are all transformed and you will determine not only who wins, but how they get there step by grueling step.
What do we want to bring forward when everything ends?
How do I play?
Digidamara is an interactive theatre game that you play online on your web browser!
Imagine going to a theatre show where you, the audience member, are a character in the action, and the entire audience has a say in how the story progresses…and the story is like a giant game show. And did we mention there will be puppets?
The Digidamara website is open from 3-9pm Atlantic Canada time each day May 18-22. You can expect to log on and play for about 30 minutes each day with a bit more action happening on the grande finale day May 22. Ideally you will use Chrome, Firefox or Safari browser on your mobile phone or desktop/laptop computer. We recommend headphones to enjoy music on the website and the video content. No web camera or microphone necessary to play but you will be able to chat with other audience members via our text based chat feature!
After registering for your ticket here, you will receive an email before the show with the web address link and instructions to join as well as a safe space policy.
Handy time conversions for our international audience:
7pm - 1am UK time (BST) // 11am - 5pm Pacific time (PDT) // 3am - 9am Korean time (KST) // 8pm - 2am Prague time (CEST)
Get in touch
The show doesn’t happen without you! This is the pilot version of Digidamara and you, yes you, are the first public audience! This means some things may be wonky and we are actively seeking feedback. Your feedback will help us build upon this first version, making it better and accessible to more people. If you want to offer your feedback on development of the piece we'll be reaching out after the show via email, so keep your eyes peeled!

BAGEL+BALLOON recognizes that we create and live in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) Peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. We actively acknowledge our place as a British and French Acadian led settler group and pledge to be transparent about our journey and responsibility as artists in this context.
