Catalyzing systemic change to advance human rights in Alberta through advocacy, collaboration, and education!

The Dignity Forum is a newly established charity with the goal of increasing awareness about human rights and responding accordingly to effect meaningful change. It was formed out of deep concern for the increase in discrimination and prejudice faced by racialized groups in Alberta. The Dignity Forum has three focal areas for action: advocacy, collaboration, and education. Find out more about the Dignity Forum at their launch. Why attend the launch event? <ul><li>To learn more about the Dignity forum, their work, and why they were established. </li><li>To connect with other leaders in the human rights sector. </li><li>To join the conversation on supporting a systemic change through advocacy and education. </li><li>To begin collaborating to advance human rights in Alberta. </li></ul>Who will be there? <ul><li>Human rights thought leaders </li><li>Members of the philanthropic community </li><li>Rights-related non-profits, for example anti-racism organizations </li><li>Educators and school board representatives </li><li>Policy makers and government officials </li><li>Members of the human rights community in Alberta </li></ul>What can you expect at the launch event? <ul><li>To meet the Dignity Forum&#x27;s Board of Directors Ron Ghitter, Cori Ghitter, Karen Roth, and Alice Lam. </li><li>To learn about PolicyWise’s research findings that prompted our focus on advocacy, collaboration, and education. </li><li>To hear about Dignity Forum&#x27;s Advisory Council, which includes distinguished social justice advocates Tyson Bankert, John Fisher, Kathleen Mahoney, Ann McCaig, Elizabeth Shen, Beba Svigir, Gail-Ann Willson, and Amal Umar. </li></ul>
