Community Drop-In for Neurodivergent Folks

Join us for an evening of connection for self-identified neurodivergent folks (ages 18+). Bring your own project, play a board game, or work on a mini art project! All materials provided, and all skill levels are welcome.

This program takes place on the stolen and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

---

Come as you are. Masking is not expected; stimming, movement, or using comfort items are all welcome.

No pressure to perform or socialize. You can chat, listen, engage, focus quietly on your project, or take breaks whenever you like.

Sensory tools and comfort supports are encouraged. Fidgets, noise-cancelling headphones, weighted items, etc. We have sensory toolkits available for use.

Lighting and sound will be soft and adjustable where possible.

A quiet space will be available if you need a break from stimulation or social interaction.

You are welcome to bring snacks.

This program takes place in a shared learning centre where separate programs for children and youth are occurring. All participants are expected to support a safe, respectful, and community-focused environment. Inappropriate conduct, hate speech, discrimination, or unkind behaviour are not tolerated.

---

Please let us know if you need support or advance notice about any program details.

Divergent Drop-In takes place in a learning centre where separate programs and learning sessions for children and youth will be taking place simultaneously.

There is parking available at the front of the building and in the surrounding neighbourhood. We are also near the Rupert Skytrain Station and major bus routes.

When you arrive, enter the easternmost door of the building, where you will see a sign. If you are unsure of where to go, check in at our front desk.

Our space is at ground level. If you require any physical accessibility accommodations, please contact us by email at info@ldsociety.ca or by phone at 604-873-8139 before your arrival.
