DREAM TECH is a series of interdisciplinary performances and workshops inspired by Kanyen’kehà:ka dream technology, unfolding on BC’s Sunshine Coast.

Guided by our understanding of dreaming as ancestral and living technology, DREAM TECH explores dreaming as creative practice, as story, as connection, and as a way of building futures together.

Dreams encountered in sleep and through creative practices allow us to respond to the aliveness of non-humans, including the land, plants, animals, and even the digital and analogue tools we use in our artistic practices. In our conversations, we have discovered parallels between dreams, the hidden labour of creative practice, and the unseen networks of fungal systems that share resources and information across species, becoming visible as mushrooms.

DREAM TECH foregrounds Indigenous wisdom to remind us that the inspiration for climate art is supported by a complex web of people, plants, insects, animals and ancestors.
