Drop Spine Boxes: An Introduction to Box Making
Saturday, May 11, 2019, 9:30am – 4:30pm
Suitable for beginners and all experience levels.
Join us for a fun hands-on workshop learning to make drop spine "clamshell" boxes! These hinged lid boxes are perfect for protecting books, archives, prints, and anything else. In this practical workshop, participants will learn how to measure, cut and cover the boxes using a variety of techniques. Each attendee will finish the class with their own handmade box (covered in bookcloth or a material of their choice) and all the skills to make more at home.
Instructor: Tiffany Eng Moore
Workshop Cost: $70.00 CBBAG members, $80.00 non-members
Material Fee: $17.00 (paid in cash to the instructor at the workshop)
Location: Routhier Community Centre (1st floor, Kitchen), 172 Guigues Ave, Ottawa
