Drumheller Regional Gathering

Badlands Community FacilityDrumheller, AB
Thursday, May 7 from 9 am to 4 pm
Overview

Get ready to connect with like-minded individuals at the Central Regional Gathering in Drumheller!

Healthy Aging Alberta’s Regional Gatherings are in-person events hosted across the province by our Regional Community Developers. They bring together people who support older adults every day — from senior centres and service clubs to community organizations, volunteers, and local partners

This year, Regional Gatherings are leaning even more into connection, conversation, and community-led learning.

Regional Gatherings are open to:

· Senior centres and service clubs

· Community-based seniors-serving organizations

· Volunteers supporting older adults

· Care partners

· Allied partners in health, housing, and community services

· Older adults themselves — your voices matter

Whether you’re part of a large organization or a small grassroots group, you belong here.

You can expect:

  • Interactive, practical workshops focused on building older adults’ natural supports.
  • Tools and activities you can take home and use in your own community.
  • Conversation-based learning as well as formal presentations.
  • Time to talk through real scenarios with people who understand your local context.
  • More space for networking and relationship-building.

Each gathering is designed to help stitch together local knowledge, lived experience, and community strengths — so no one is working in isolation, and everyone has something to contribute.

For questions about this Regional Gathering, please reach out to Apryl Webb, the Central AB Regional Community Developer at apryl.webb@healthyagingalberta.ca
