SFU’s Institute for Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (INN) invites you to a workshop on September 7-8, 2022. Dynamic Neuroscience WorkshopOur brains are masterful at adapting to change. Dynamic neuroscience is the foundation. It supports everything from navigating a new trail, to learning a new language, to forming new memories. These dynamics can go awry in developmental disorders, dementia, and mental health challenges.Our two-day workshop will focus on the topic of dynamic neuroscience. We will explore its theoretical foundation, and how we measure and model it. The workshop includes a keynote from <a href="https://ins-amu.fr/jirsaviktor" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dr. Viktor Jirsa</a>, a leading expert on brain modeling and epilepsy, two educational talks, then a moderated discussion on key issues in the study of dynamics.Dr. Jirsa and <a href="https://www.sfu.ca/bpk/about/people/faculty/stephen-robinovitch.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dr. Stephen Robinovitch</a> will close the event with a conversation on how the study of dynamic neuroscience will improve our understanding of brain health and resilience.
